Paul is a Senior Manager within PwC’s Actuarial Risk & Quants practice.
Over the last 2 years he has been involved in IFRS 17 implementation initiatives for the two largest life insurers in the South African market. Paul’s technical software development background and IFRS 17 knowledge was key in building the PwC suite of IFRS 17 solutions.
Paul’s key areas of experience are as follows:
- Performing IFRS 17 trainings
- Performing detailed vertical gap analysis
- Performing financial impact assessments
- Performing profitability assessment
- Policy and methodology investigations
- Designing and implementing IFRS 17 compliant disclosures and chart of accounts
- Designing client specific data dictionaries
- Designing and building data models and IFRS 17 overlay models
- Software development of various actuarial solutions
