In today’s digital age, new products and services are being developed and new markets are being created every day—in companies both large and small, and in every industry. While some companies enjoy success that leads to sustained growth, others quickly find themselves with no choice but to exit these new markets. And technology, which continues to evolve at an unimaginable pace, is what drives development of this ‘seamless society’.
With this in mind, we at PwC have also begun to provide value that goes beyond the traditional framework of professional services.
PwC’s Products & Technology team develops new businesses that differ from our traditional audit, tax, advisory and other professional services. We also collaborate with domestic and international start-ups, leading companies, universities, NPOs and other organisations to create new products and business models at PwC, such as software development and cloud service-based platform offerings.
We work with various players both inside and outside Japan to develop new products and business models based on technology for the PwC Japan Group.

Our mission is to create new value and business models that differ from our traditional professional services.
For PwC, developing and selling software and cloud services is a significant challenge. We have to do everything in a new way—this includes our collaborations with technology companies and organisations, as well as our people, methodologies and contractual arrangements. To succeed, we also need to consider appropriate organisaion structures, business processes and evaluation systems, and transform our own organisaion and ourselves.
Creating new value involves a great deal of hard work, but as a progressive and innovative firm, we strive to rise to the challenge of creating new businesses that break our own mold.
