M&A, Post Merger Integration, Value Creation through business restructuring
Akane Yoshida is engaged in advisory services for the execution of cross-border and domestic M&As and Post Merger Integration (PMI). She has extensive experience in the reorganization of domestic and overseas businesses and companies, providing advice to sellers or buyers in carve-out deals and supporting the formulation of joint ventures or the restructuring of a company group.
After being involved in statutory audits of companies listed on the first section of the TSE or registered with the SEC, internal control designing and IPO support at a major auditing firm, Akane assumed the role of group controller at a major foreign advertising company in 2005, engaging in the finance management operation for its 12 domestic group companies, and led the business integration project related to the group’s restructuring.
Akane joined the M&A practice with the current PwC Advisory LLC in 2009. She provides hands-on support to domestic and foreign companies on their cross-border transactions which includes the development of M&A strategies, business/operational/governance due diligence, disposals/acquisitions relating to carve-out transactions, post merger business management integration, building of the organizational structure in a business reorganization and business divestiture. Considering Value Creation in Deals which transforms corporate activities through M&As and business restructuring and maximizes value, to be the top priority issue, Akane focuses on giving advice on the optimum operational model and business governance throughout the entire process, from strategy formulation to PMI.
Akane assumed the current post of Chief Executive Officer at PwC Advisory LLC in July 2019.
