Message

Malaysia is a warm climate country which is located in almost center of South East Asia. Malaysia is one of the successful countries in South East Asia on economic growth and currently GDP per capita is almost at USD 10,000 which is the second highest (the highest is Singapore) in the region. There are numerous number of Japanese companies’ subsidiaries set up in Malaysia especially electronics industries since 1980’s. There was a change in government in May 2018 which was the first time since country’s independence in 1957 and Dr. Mahathir who is pro-Japanese returned to Prime Minister approximately 15 years after he stepped down in 2003.

The Japanese Business Consulting Group of PwC Malaysia can act as so called “convenience store” for Japanese companies in Malaysia where Japanese companies can contact us for any business matters/issues for the first contact point. Since there are some Japanese professionals who have stayed for quite a number of years in Malaysia, we believe that we can provide Japanese companies with some useful information to resolve the issues. Kindly feel free to contact us for any of business matters that you require our assistance.

Besides, one of strengths we have in the Japanese Business Consulting Group of PwC Malaysia is to carry out the engagement by Japanese professionals (or Japanese speaking local professionals) for Japanese companies in Malaysia, as and when it is necessary. As compared to the case where Japanese professionals can only act as “liaison” with local engagement team, it could be more prompt in terms of decision making and also more importantly, we can work towards the requirements from Japanese companies much more closely. Please feel free to contact us for any business matters/concerns.
