Kazuhiro Obara joined PwC Tax Japan in 2019.
From 2008 to 2010, Kazuhiro worked for the Tax Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, where he was responsible for fundamental review of corporate tax in line with the Companies Act and planning of taxation on partnership related to anonymous associations and voluntary associations.
Kazuhiro was also responsible for development of Corporate Tax Basic Circulars at the Corporation Taxation Division of the National Tax Agency (NTA) and establishment of tax treatment for public-interest corporations and specified medical corporations for eight years from 2011. He has extensive expertise in corporate tax with practical experience in planning of corporate taxation and development of basic circulars at the NTA.
