Naoyuki Mizutani is experienced in providing tax consulting and tax compliance services for Japanese and overseas clients, especially in the financial services and private equity sectors. His expertise includes M&A deal structuring and tax due diligence, post-acquisition reorganisation and integration, international tax structuring and planning, cross-border transactions from a Japanese tax perspective.
From July 2017 to June 2019, he was seconded to PwC Singapore, where he worked with the Japan Business Network to support Japanese clients with tax matters and new investments into Singapore and the ASEAN region.
Naoyuki was seconded to PwC US’s New York office from October 2023 to September 2025 as the Japan tax desk leader.As part of the International Tax Services group, he provided international tax advice to a range of US multinational corporations on their investments in Japan, acquisitions of Japanese companies, and cross-border transactions involving Japan.
