Summary of professional experience
After working for a financial institution, Akina Kozakai has been a part of the PwC network since 2000 and has been consistently engaged in business restructuring, turnaround, reorganisation and M&A for over 20 years. He has extensive practical experience with a wide range of clients, from listed companies to owner-operated companies in Japan and abroad.
From 2019, he was seconded to PwC UK, where he was in charge of business for Japanese companies and was a member of the Operational Restructuring team, supporting restructuring and business reorganisation in Europe.
After returning to Japan in 2022, he has been engaged in value creation through restructuring, reorganisation, and M&A in the materials industry (mining, metals and chemicals).
