Akira Fukami is a partner in Tax Reporting & Strategy of PwC Tax Japan.
Akira was responsible for system design and development at a leading domestic system integrator. After working as a freelance IT consultant, he worked as a sales engineer for enterprise clients at a global software company. Subsequently, he gained experience in alliances and company management, and in 2015, joined a PwC member firm. As an IT consultant, Akira has worked across various industries, primarily focusing on manufacturing and retail companies.
Akira has participated in numerous projects, including support for the tri-polar integration project of information sharing platforms at major manufacturing companies, deployment support for global information sharing platforms, and initiatives combining products/services of global software companies to enhance information sharing infrastructure, Enterprise SNS and employee value.
At PwC Tax Japan, he primarily handles projects aimed at streamlining tax operations, offering advice on designing operations and standardising business processes, automating tasks, leveraging information collection systems, and developing talent to enhance the quality of information and achieve a reduction in work hours.
