Profile
Kazuhito Asakawa joined PwC Tax Japan in 2015. He has extensive experience in international taxation, and has 27 years of experience working at the National Tax Agency (NTA) and the Tokyo Regional Tax Bureau (TRTB). He retired from the post of Deputy Director of the Azabu Tax Office in July 2015. His responsibilities there included the implementation of the Authorized OECD Approach (AOA) of 2014 and the Cross Border Consumption Tax, as well as leading discussions on the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project at the OECD from 2012 to 2015, and the NTA’s tax corporate governance efforts that started in 2011.
