Flying Start Degree Programme

Fast track your career into a finance profession

Our Flying Start degree pathway is a four-year programme and provides the opportunity to combine academic study whilst kick starting your career in finance with PwC.

We have collaborated with University College Jersey to develop this pathway. Students will spend terms 1 and 3 each year attending the university, with term 2 being spent on placement. The pathway will put you on track to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant - you'll complete 80% of your ICAEW exams whilst studying for the degree, complete a large proportion of the work experience required to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, and be less than a year away from the full qualification once you graduate.

You'll also still have the whole summer off to relax, travel and have the flexibility to do whatever you enjoy.

Reasons to choose the Flying Start Degree Programme

You'll get to study on island

All of the teaching and assessment on the four-year Flying Start Degree Programme is delivered locally in a supportive environment. At the end of the journey students achieve an internationally recognised degree. The degree will cover all certificate and professional stage ICAEW exams, such that students only need to sit the advanced stage exams after their degree to fully exam qualify.

Studying on-island brings the benefits of high levels of pastoral care, lower travel and accommodation costs and greater access to specialist tutors and mentors. You will achieve a recognised bachelor’s degree in finance alongside your professional exams, as well as enjoying significant paid work experience in a professional and supportive workplace.

Applications for September 2024 are open now.
