Supply Chain Finance Barometer 2018/2019

PwC would like to share our latest global publication on Supply Chain Finance (SCF), which captures the trends and practices of the global companies in implementing Supply Chain Finance initiatives.

Key findings of the survey:

  1. Supplier finance is the most used Trade finance product, with Distributor Financing/Pre-approved financing options picking up
  2. Large companies are more likely to have SCF solution in place, but mid-market is growing too
  3. Finance Function more often drives the SCF implementation, though there is significant involvement of Procurement, Legal, Admin functions
  4. Working Capital optimisation is the most important benefit of implementing SCF program, though it has other financial, operational, supply chain and economic benefits
  5. Bank operated platform is still the most widely used SCF option
