Part-qualify on placement and you could be offered a promotion upon graduation. If your business area doesn’t carry a professional qualification not to worry - do well on your placement and you could also be offered a position to re-join us on our graduate scheme.
You should also have thoroughly researched the area of PwC you’re applying to and any associated qualification that's involved. On the work placement you’ll get a comprehensive feel for the challenges of professional services, work with distinguished clients and benefitting from superb learning and development opportunities. Our 11-month work placements start in September and are available at offices across the UK.
You'll do the same work, and benefit from the same training, as our first-year graduate recruits, contributing to a range of client projects as part of a highly skilled team. As you’d expect from a business of this scale, the work can be intense at times – but you’ll have plenty of fun along the way, not forgetting competitive rewards for your hard work.
Experiencing life inside one of the world's largest professional services organisations is a fantastic way to build your commercial awareness and interpersonal skills. Nothing can beat on-the-job experience for personal development; and you’ll get plenty of it, both within PwC and on-site with our clients. In addition to our core training modules, we’ll also steer you towards appropriate courses if there's anything you feel you'd like to work on.
What’s more, you’ll boost your ability to soak up complex business information, and establish your own professional confidence – factors that will make a real difference to your last year at university.
Hopefully your placement will be the first step towards a graduate career with us. In some business areas, you may even be able to start working for your professional qualifications during the programme, returning to complete your exams once you've graduated.
For example, if you do an 11-month work placement in an area offering ICAEW training, you can study for some of your professional exams. We’ll support you through these, and your exam passes in your placement year will give you a real head start when it comes to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
We’re rapidly growing our expertise in this area so if you’re passionate about technology, whatever area you join, you’ll get expert training.
