Tax technical update for Non-Executive Directors, Tax and Financial Directors - Guernsey

We were delighted to host our Channel Islands event for Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) held on 30 April 2024 in Guernsey.

PwC's tax specialists from both Guernsey and Jersey, Laura Corbet, Kelly Tadier and Nana Aboagye, shared their views and insights and examined the implications of the most significant recent developments in tax, which Non-Executive Directors and other C-Suite members should be aware of as part of their governance role:

  • the Guernsey tax risks to be aware of when signing off tax returns at Board level;
  • the changing landscape surrounding Economic Substance and where the risks of GRS questions may arise;
  • recent developments on FATCA/ CRS and the focus on governance and oversight; and
  • the local proposals and potential implications of BEPS Pillar II.

It was also an excellent opportunity to network and collaborate with other members of the NED and finance community.
