PwC Channel Islands celebrates three new director promotions

In support of PwC’s five year growth plans, the firm is delighted to announce some key mid-year promotions of three additional directors.

Based in Jersey, the appointments are made up of two Tax Directors and one Advisory Director. These promotions will ensure a strong pipeline of talented leaders continue to be developed within the firm to support client growth across the Channel Islands.

Newly appointed Tax Director, Stephen Lazarevich, joined the tax team in 2008 originally on a university placement. Having worked his way up the ranks, which included a six month secondment at PwC in London developing his asset management knowledge and establishing a really strong network of contacts there, he currently specialises in fund-related tax matters with a particular focus on UK tax reporting. Stephen also supports clients in providing tax compliance and advisory services to entities in the Channel Islands and across the UK.

Tax Director Stuart Macklin, who joined the firm as a highly experienced provider of tax advisory services in 2018, currently specialises in working with clients on domestic and multi-jurisdictional projects on how international tax developments will impact the Islands. Aside from a comprehensive understanding of Channel Islands, UK and international tax issues, Stuart has a strong focus on the taxation of UK real estate and helping holding vehicles comply with an increasingly complex tax environment.

Luis Zamora takes on the role of Risk and Regulatory Consulting Director in PwC’s advisory team. He relocated to Jersey from PwC Chile in 2015 and has accumulated over 11 years’ experience, working on a multitude of global and local projects across the Channel Islands, UK, EMEA and Latin America. This has included leading the successful delivery for clients of large technology-led transformation projects, including various KYC and AML programmes. Alongside this, Luis is currently driving the efforts of delivering a KYC solution for PwC globally, for use across the entire PwC Network.

These milestone director promotions highlight and reinforce the continued success and growth of the firm's tax and risk and regulatory practices.

Commenting on thes latest senior promotions, Partner and Jersey Office Leader, Lisa McClure, said:
