New director appointments at PwC Hungary

PwC Hungary is proud to announce the appointment of four new directors. Anikó Réfi, Gergely Juhász, Anita Sávoly-Hatta and Miklós Novák began to serve in their new roles in the Tax Advisory and Assurance service lines from 1 October 2016.
Anikó Réfi
Anikó Réfi (39) joined PwC Hungary in 2010. Her clients include companies active in the retail, automotive, and financial sectors in Hungary, whom she advises on complex transfer pricing issues and represents in tax audits and advance pricing arrangement (APA) procedures. Before joining PwC Anikó worked as Head of Audit at the Hungarian Tax Authority’s Directorate of Large Taxpayers, and was also responsible for coordination and technical oversight of the Hungarian APA programme. She has extensive experience in working with foreign tax authorities and participating in the work of the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations and various OECD working groups. Anikó holds an MSc in Economics and a postgraduate degree in law. She is also a qualified tax advisor and a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Auditors. In addition to her day-to-day duties, she regularly gives presentations at professional events and holds training sessions.
Gergely Juhász
Gergely Juhász (32) joined PwC Hungary’s tax advisory team in 2007, where he worked on restructuring many Hungarian and multinational companies and provided them tax advice. He specialises in international taxation, EU tax law, giving tax advice on direct taxes and duties, and resolving complex issues concerning the real estate sector. In addition to companies, he also advises private persons on tax matters and represents them in tax administration proceedings, in which he has considerable experience both in Hungary and abroad. Gergely holds an MSc in Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest. He is also a qualified tax advisor and a member of the PwC network’s EU tax law working group. In addition to his regular responsibilities, Gergely is also a guest lecturer at Budapest Business School and the co-author of several international publications.
Anita Sávoly-Hatta
Anita Sávoly-Hatta (38) joined PwC in 2003. She studied Accounting and European Business at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pécs and the Faculty of Business Administration of the Budapest Business School. She also holds the internationally recognised ACCA auditing qualification. She primarily serves TICE clients in Assurance. She has experience serving SEC listed clients under IFRS and US GAAP as well. She served two years as the Chief Operating Officer of Assurance before taking maternity leave. She has a two-year-old son. Before her son was born, her hobby was hiking with her husband. Now it is spending as much time with them as possible.
Miklós Novák
Before joining PwC, Miklós Novák (41) studied Accounting, Corporate Finance, Monetary Regulation and English Translation at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pécs. He is a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Auditors, holds an international auditing qualification (FCCA), and is a qualified tax advisor. For three years he has worked as a member of PwC’s global IFRS advisory team, partly in Bratislava and Moscow. He is a permanent member of PwC’s Technical Committee on accounting matters. He has played a significant role in projects aimed at developing Hungarian accounting regulations and preparing the adoption of IFRS in Hungary. Miklós was also instrumental in launching accounting advisory services at PwC and developing them into a service line. In addition to his regional responsibilities, he also serves audit clients, including major listed Hungarian companies. He is the author of many publications on accounting. In his free time, Miklós enjoys running and biking. He is also an avid amateur mountain climber.
