If you come from Jersey or Guernsey and you're in your penultimate year at university, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills and confidence for four weeks during the summer. You could also be in the final year of an undergraduate degree with a one year postgraduate degree place confirmed. Either way, if you perform well you could go back to university with a firm graduate job offer.
It doesn't matter what degree you're studying for, but you must have a good academic record and be able to show how you've used your initiative and team-working skills before and at university. You’ll also need to show you’re genuinely committed to this career path.
As an intern, you'll enjoy much the same experience and opportunities as our full-time graduate recruits, and get exposure to a wide range of work and clients. And throughout, you’ll make a valuable contribution. But you won't be thrown in at the deep end. We run an induction training course for all our interns, and you’ll also get specific technical training in the first week that’ll give you all the skills you'll need. It'll be a steep learning curve and you'll certainly feel stretched – but you’ll also have all the support you need. As well as a 'buddy' to answer your questions, you’ll have regular feedback on your performance.
Our internships give you a real-life view of what a graduate career with PwC would be like. You'll find out first-hand if this is the career for you. If it is – and you perform well – you could go back to university with a graduate job offer, and some great new skills and insights that will mean you’ll hit the ground running if you join us as a graduate trainee.
You’ll also raise your commercial awareness and interpersonal skills to new levels. By experiencing life inside the world's leading professional services organisation, you'll develop many new skills and qualities that will be valuable whatever you choose to do.
We’ve a limited number of internships and we interview candidates for the places in late spring. The internships run from the end of June or beginning of August for four weeks in both our Jersey and Guernsey offices.
Our first summer CI Internship programme was a great success in 2014. We've now received sufficient applications for our 2015 CI Internship programme in Jersey so are no longer accepting applications for this programme. However, the closing date for our CI Internship programme based in Guernsey remains open until 15 May 2015.
