Export Control - What are no regret actions?

Dear clients

We’re delighted to invite you to our next webinar: Export Control - What are no regret actions? The webinar will be held on 28 April 2022 at 10.00-11.00am (Thai) and 2.00-3.00pm (English).

What we’ll cover

Thailand’s Control on Weapons of Mass Destruction related Items Act (TCWMD Act, or Thailand Export Control Act) has been entered into force since 1 January 2020, but the enforcement of export licences has not yet been in place. At the moment the only regulations practically implemented are ‘catch-all-control measures’ and ‘Internal Compliance Program - ICP’. But what does this mean in practice? How are the regulations important to the exporter in Thailand? And what do the exporters need to know to comply with the existing regulations and what would happen if things go wrong?

This webinar therefore aims to address the above questions in a bitesize format for you to have a better understanding of the current export control regulations development. We will also provide you with recommended actions to ensure compliance with the provisions in order to mitigate the risks that will occur in your current and future export shipments.

The session will mainly cover:

  • Overview and current development of export control regulations in Thailand: Regulators, enforcement
    and penalty schemes
  • What you need to know about the catch-all-control measures and the ICP: Current practices
and why is it so important to the exporters?
  • Recommendations for the exporters in a short term
    and in a long term
  • Q&A

Who should attend?

This webinar is designed for executives and operational staff working in export, trading, supply chain and/or logistics fields. It’s especially suitable for those responsible for trade compliance matters of exporting sides.
