PwC Korea Deal 4 team은 SK케미칼㈜의 바이오사업부를 매각하는 딜에서 매도자문사로 참여하였습니다.
SK케미칼은 2017년에 SK디스커버리㈜에서 인적분할하여 설립되었으며, 폴리에스테르, 바이오디젤 등을 생산하는 그린케미칼 사업 부문과 신약, 독감백신 등을 생산하는 라이프사이언스 사업부문을 운영하고 있습니다. 동사가 보유한 바이오에너지사업부는 바이오원료를 바탕으로 바이오디젤/바이오중유 등의 원재료를 조달, 제조, 생산, 유통, 구매, 판매합니다.
본 건의 인수 주체인 한앤컴퍼니는 2010년에 설립된 국내 사모펀드투자운용사로, 친환경 연료시장의 잠재력에 주목해 동 인수를 결정했다고 밝혔습니다.

PwC Korea Deals Corporate Finance team is pleased to announce the sale of Bioenergy business unit in SK Chemicals Co., Ltd.
SK Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 2017 after a spin-off from SK Discovery Co., Ltd. SK Chemical Co., Ltd. operates its business through two segments. The Green Chemical sector manufactures polyester, biodiesel and the Life Science sector produces medicines, and vaccines. The Bioenergy business produces, transports, purchases and sells biodiesel, bio-heavy oil along with raw materials for production. It also researches and develops biodiesel, bio-heavy oil, as well as bio-oil for ships and aircraft.
Hahn & Company, the buyer, is established in 2010 and a private equity in Korea. It decided to acquire the business unit to focus on future growth engines of eco-friendly materials.
The PwC Korea Deal 4 team, led by Jin-Won Lee and Gil-Ju Ryu, was engaged as a sell-side M&A advisor for SK Chemicals Co., Ltd. on the sale of its business unit to Hahn & Company and successfully closed the transaction.
