Janis Lagzdins

Attorney at law, senior partner in Latvia

With his specialization in labor law, commercial law and corporate law Janis has vast experience in helping clients in their day-to-day activities as well as advising on complex projects. As an accomplished transaction lawyer, Janis has structured numerous large-scale acquisitions and business sales of various industries, participated in corporate and financial restructuring transactions, asset and real estate purchase and sale transactions. He has also advised clients in corporate takeovers and insolvency matters. Janis is regularly involved in legislative development acting as a member of the Permanent Working Group of the Ministry of Justice on Amendments to the Commercial Law and member of the working group on amendments to the Latvian Insolvency Law.
Janis has obtained the professional master’s degree from the University of Latvia, Faculty of Law.
Janis is a member of the Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates.
