PwC Japan Group
The PwC Japan Group (Koichiro Kimura, Japan Group Chairman) announces that Masataka Kubota (currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer, PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan LLC) has been selected as PwC Japan’s next Chairman. His four-year term will commence on 1 July 2024.
Koichiro Kimura is scheduled to retire at the end of his term on 30 June 2024.
Masataka Kubota, PwC Japan Group Chairman-elect, said:
“Over the past few years, the speed and extent of social changes have increased, and this trend is likely to continue, accelerate and expand still further. In order to meet society’s expectations in this era and to achieve PwC’s Purpose, ‘to build trust in society and solve important problems’, we are strongly committed to further improving the quality and efficiency of our service by utilising technology and providing assurances in new areas and solutions. We will also enhance collaboration with various partner companies and connections with diverse people through new ways of working. As part of these efforts, we will, not only as PwC alone but also with our partners, make positive contributions to our clients as well as to our communities by implementing wide-ranging, progressive initiatives to build trust and grow sustainably.”
Koichiro Kimura, PwC Japan Group Chairman, said:

The management teams of PwC Japan, as well as its main member firms from the fiscal year commencing on 1 July 2024, will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.
