Winston Nesfield

Winston Nesfield is the Financial Services and AI Advisory Leader for PwC South East Asia Consulting. In this role, he brings together sector knowledge, regional experience and technology perspectives to help organisations navigate the changes shaping financial services across Southeast Asia.

He works with clients across the financial-services ecosystem, including banks, insurers, asset and wealth managers, capital-markets firms and fintechs, to address priorities spanning growth, risk, technology and operating-model transformation. Drawing on firmwide capabilities across strategy, transformation, data and technology; his work helps these organisations respond to changing market conditions while continuing to provide the capital, protection and services on which businesses and customers across Southeast Asia depend.

As AI Advisory Leader, Winston leads PwC South East Asia Consulting’s approach to embedding AI across its advisory work and client engagements. This connects AI with sector expertise and business priorities, supported by the governance and organisational readiness required for responsible adoption. His leadership reflects the wider ambition to embed AI into how consultants advise and deliver, rather than treating it as a separate practice area.

Winston has more than three decades of strategy and financial-sector management experience with particular depth in insurance. He has served clients across Southeast Asia and Australia, as well as several North Asian and European markets, giving him a broad perspective on applying regional and global developments within different local contexts.

At the heart of Winston's work is a belief that financial services serve society by helping people save, protecting what matters and planning ahead, and giving businesses the capital to grow. He is passionate about how AI, combined with deep sector knowledge, can help the industry to widen access, close protections gaps and strengthen trust.
