Kok Weng is an approved liquidator and leads the Business Recovery Services practice of PwC Singapore. He previously led the PwC Forensic Services practice in Southeast Asia as well as Financial Services practice in Singapore. He was also the Markets Leader of PwC Singapore.
Kok Weng has extensive experience in investigations and restructuring, as well as domain knowledge in financial services and payments sector. He has led many complex and multi-locational projects and, on several occasions, worked closely with the Commercial Affairs Department, stock exchanges and regulators. Examples of such work includes investigative reviews of listed companies such as Sino Environment, Sinopipe, Gaoxian, Bilcare, as well as for various public agencies. Investigations linked to financial institutions include, among others, private banking frauds, FX trading irregularities, loss of data by a financial institution.
His experience of restructuring and recovery assignments includes companies such as Greatearth group, Sunshine Empire, Ezra group, Bilcare Limited, WesTech Electronics Limited, Jaya Holdings Ltd, FibreChem Technologies Limited, Roy Eastern Watch Pte Ltd and MDR Limited.
Kok Weng’s transactional support experience extends over 300 deals and includes Merger & Acquisitions financial advisory, business and financial due diligence for both buy and sell sides and market entry studies.
