연합자산관리의 포스코플랜택 인수를 위한 실사 및 가치평가
PwC Korea Deals Corporate Finance team은 연합자산관리가 포스코플랜텍의 인수하는 딜에서 재무자문사로 참여하였습니다.
1982년 포스코가 자회사로 설립한 포스코플랜텍은 제철 및 산업 설비 엔지니어링 등을 주사업으로 영위하고 있습니다. 포스코플랜텍은 2010년 포스코가 제철소 정비를 외주화하기 전까지 포스코의 정비사업을 독점적으로 맡아오다가 지난 2013년 성진지오텍과 합병 후 경영 악화와 해외 플랜트 사업장 부실화로 인해 2015년 워크아웃에 들어갔습니다.
본 건의 인수 주체인 연합자산관리는 신한, 국민, 하나, 기업, 우리, 농협은행이 출자해 만든 부실채권 투자회사이며 올 상반기 코로나19 여파로 어려움이 가중된 회사에 적극 투자해 구조조정 투자에서 활발한 움직임을 보이고 있습니다.
PwC Korea Deals Corporate Finance team은 본건 딜에서 매수인측 자문사로 참여하여 재무실사 및 가치평가 업무를 수행하였습니다.

PwC Korea Deals Corporate Finance team is pleased to announce Uamco Co., Ltd.'s acquisition of shares in Posco Plantec Co., Ltd.
Posco Plantec Co., Ltd. founded in 1982 as a subsidiary of POSCO performs in steelmaking and industrial facility engineering. Posco Plantec Co., Ltd. had been exclusively in charge of POSCO's maintenance business until 2010 when POSCO outsourced the maintenance of steel mills. After the merger with Sungjingeotech in 2013, it went into a workout in 2015 because of deterioration in business and overseas plant business.
Uamco Co., Ltd. is an insolvent bond investment company created by Shinhan, Kookmin, Hana, IBK, Woori and Nonghyup Bank and they are actively investing in companies that have become more difficult because of COVID-19.
The PwC Korea Deal 5 team, led by Joon-Seon Min and Young-baek Sohn, provided financial diligence and valuation service for Uamco Co., Ltd. and successfully closed the transaction.
