Objectives for processing of personal data

Different kinds of client data are processed within PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA - name, family name, telephone number, e-mail, position.

Processing of personal data is managed according to requirements of the Law on Personal Data Protection and other statutory requirements in force. Personal data may be processed for the following general objectives:

  • to send an information regarding publications prepared by PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA and other members of worldwide network of PricewaterhouseCoopers firms;
  • to send an information on training courses organised by PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA;
  • to send an information on seminars, discussions and other activities organised by PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA;
  • to send an invitation to attend representative events organised by PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA;
  • to implement objectives included in agreements signed by clients (to send Flash News of PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA, to provide services etc.);
  • to implement other objectives, if written consent is received from clients.

Granting and withdrawing consent

Personal data of clients are processed only if written consent is received from a client. Beforehand a client is notified on specific objectives for processing of personal data.

If a client has submitted notice to PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA or concluded an agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA, it is considered that a client has granted his/her consent to process personal data for specific objectives only.

Granting the consent is voluntary and a client is entitled to withdraw his/her consent at any time.

Personal data transfers to third persons

Personal data of clients are available only to employees of PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA. Personal data of clients are not transferred to third persons.

PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA may transfer personal data of clients to third persons only in the following cases:

  • if required by law in force;
  • if explicit request from a client is received.

Client's rights

According to the Law on Personal Data Protection and other statutory requirements in force a client is entitled to become acquainted with information on what kind of personal data and for what objectives personal data are processed within PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA.

A client is entitled to request correcting or amending his/her personal data, as well as to request termination of processing of personal data.

A client is entitled to any other rights specified in the Law on Personal Data Protection.

If a client has reasons to believe that his/her rights regarding processing of personal data might be violated, he/she has rights to send a complaint to the Data State Inspectorate according to the provisions of the Law on Personal Data Protection.
