PwC is committed to responsible, sustainable and inclusive business practices. We deliver trusted services, bring together diverse talent, contribute to important societal processes, share our knowledge, and care for the environment and the communities in which we live and work.

"Economic growth must strengthen both societal well‑being and environmental sustainability. We demonstrate our commitment to responsibility through our own actions first. We address social, environmental and governance challenges by relying on our values and culture, making ethical and transparent decisions, and consistently applying leading practices. In this way, we help to create a responsible and thriving environment for our people, businesses and society as a whole.”

Ilandra Lejina, Country Managing Partner, PwC Latvia

Our corporate responsibility focus areas

Climate change is one of the most critical global challenges of our time. In caring for the environment and our shared living space, we are committed to adopting a systematic and sustainable approach to reduce our environmental impact and advance towards net‑zero greenhouse gas emissions.

We work to decrease resource consumption, promote the use of renewable energy, and take responsible actions today that consider the needs of future generations. Our goal is to contribute to a resilient and sustainable environment for the long term.

We create positive social impact by using our expertise and skills to strengthen people and businesses. We offer accessible learning opportunities and events that help build capacity, and we foster an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong and can grow professionally.

We collaborate with non‑governmental organisations to support diverse groups within society and promote well‑being. Our people actively participate in initiatives that make a meaningful difference. We take a long‑term, purposeful approach to social responsibility to ensure our contribution drives positive change.

Our purpose and values guide our daily actions, grounded in strong governance and ethical principles. We comply with legal and professional standards, manage risks, protect data privacy and information security, and maintain strict quality and independence requirements – all reinforced by our Code of Conduct and a culture of open communication.

We manage procurement responsibly and partner with suppliers who share our commitment to integrity and accountability. In working with clients, we act ethically, manage potential conflicts of interest, and strive to create sustainable value – contributing to a trustworthy business environment.

Our key initiatives

Environmental sustainability

Tree planting has become a valued annual PwC tradition. In cooperation with Latvijas valsts meži and Rīgas meži, we help restore and improve forest areas across Latvia.

Each year, PwC employees take part in the national clean‑up initiative, contributing to a cleaner and more cared‑for environment. Our teams have previously supported locations such as the Ulubele animal shelter, the banks of the Mārupīte river, the Children’s Clinical University Hospital grounds and others.

We support the WWF‑led initiative “Earth Hour” by switching off the PwC signage lighting at the Novira Plaza office building every year.

Community Engagement

PwC employees regularly participate in blood donation. Together with the State Blood Donor Centre, we organise donation days at our office, involving colleagues, their families, and other tenants of the building.

Each year, we are pleased to support the charity initiative “Sasildīsim sirsniņas”, helping bring holiday joy to children and young people cared for by "Palīdzēsim.lv". Our employees actively participate by preparing meaningful and practical gifts.

We provide pro bono legal and tax consultations to “Centrs Dardedze”, an organisation working to ensure safe childhoods and protect children from all forms of violence.

We conduct the annual financial audit for the organisation free of charge. SOS Children’s Villages Latvia provides family‑like care for children without parental support, assists families in crisis and strengthens the foster care system.

Our employees volunteer as guest lecturers in the nationwide educational initiative, Dzīvei gatavs, helping young people develop financial literacy, understand labour market expectations and acquire practical knowledge for their studies and future careers.

Responsible business practices

We regularly host free events explaining the latest legislative changes and key industry developments. We also publish annual research on the business environment in the Baltic region and economic trends.

We actively engage with public authorities and businesses to support an effective, competitive and investor‑friendly tax system. Our experienced specialists were among the founders of the Latvian Tax Consultant Association, promoting professional and sustainable tax practice development.
