In the Community
At PwC Bermuda, our corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment is unstinting – and is driven from the very top. In fact, instilling a sense of responsibility for the community in which we operate is something we strive for in all our people.
Involvement in community affairs is something that you’ll find goes to the heart of much of what we do. Whether it’s individual staff members’ personal involvement in good causes through to our corporate work with non-profit organisations such as YouthNews, a commitment to giving back to the community permeates throughout the firm.
We now have a formal CSR policy for our Bermudian firm and our principal focus of charitable giving is on youth and education, with a secondary focus placed on health and special needs, and the environment.
- Education – working closely with local schools and colleges to help young people make the most of their opportunities, through mentoring and workshops.
- Environment – doing our bit to make Bermuda a greener place to live and work through initiatives such as recycling, and ensuring the sustainable development of the island, controlling the impact our business has on the environment.
- Community – working in partnership with local youth and social groups to contribute to local enterprise and better lives, through staff volunteering and fundraising schemes.
Within the firm, all staff – from trainees to partners – are given opportunities to contribute their skills, enthusiasm and effort to the many projects in which we participate.
