In the community

The PwC in the community program is dedicated to assisting community organisations that support people in need. As a firm, we recognise our broader responsibilities in the Bermuda community and our In the community program enables us to contribute our time, energy and resources. At the same time the program provides opportunities to our people to connect with our community and gain new skills, as well as a real sense of personal fulfillment in having made a worthwhile contribution.

Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment is unstinting – and driven from the very top. Involvement in community affairs is something that goes to the heart of much of what we do. Whether it’s an individual staff members’ personal involvement in good causes, or our corporate work with a range of non-profit organisations, there is a real commitment to giving back to the community which permeates the firm.

We now have a formal corporate social responsibility policy in place. We focus our charitable giving on youth and education, and health and special needs, as well as the environment.

  • Community – working in partnership with local youth and social groups to contribute to local enterprise and better lives, through staff volunteering and fundraising schemes.
  • Education – both through our comprehensive HeadStart program and through working closely with local schools and colleges, we help young people make the most of their opportunities, through mentoring, workshops and direct contact.
  • Environment – doing our bit to make Bermuda a greener place to live and work through initiatives such as recycling, and ensuring the sustainable development of the island, controlling the impact our business has on the environment.

Within the firm, all staff – from trainees to partners – are given opportunities to contribute their skills, enthusiasm and effort to the many projects in which we participate. (Click on the images below)
