Matthew Britten

Matt Britten serves as a partner in PwC Bermuda’s assurance practice. He currently leads our Large Public Commercial (Re)insurance Assurance group, which is responsible for executing PCAOB integrated audits. 

Having served insurance and reinsurance companies in both an assurance and advisory capacity for over 28 years, Matt brings extensive experience and knowledge of the property & casualty industry from a business, operations and accounting perspective. 

Additionally, as a significant portion of his career has also included working at PwC in New York and London, Matt also has broad experience working with global companies in Bermuda, Europe and the United States, and he has managed a number of large-scale global projects involving multi-disciplinary teams. Across these projects, Matt has served clients in a variety of areas ranging from; external audit to accounting technical, operations transformation to outsourcing, and internal audit effectiveness to regulatory compliance. 

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of both the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda and the Institute of Internal Auditors
