Chris serves as the lead Risk Advisory Partner at PwC Bermuda, bringing 19 years of professional experience, with the last 12 years spent in Bermuda. Before relocating, he worked for 3 years at PwC Canada and 4 years at PwC UK. Throughout his career, he has primarily focused on clients within the insurance and reinsurance sectors.
He possesses extensive expertise in the design, assessment, and improvement of internal control frameworks. His diverse background, working with various re/insurers from startups to large multinational corporations, enables him to offer innovative and practical perspectives on his clients’ risks, processes, policies, and controls. Chris has assisted numerous reinsurers with internal audit and SOX internal control testing, including helping organizations establish their internal audit functions and SOX programs.
A former Board Member of the Bermuda Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Chris has a comprehensive background in internal audit, enabling him to deliver services across a wide spectrum of relevant risk areas and provide tailored insights to his clients. He leads a team of more than 30 professionals based in Bermuda, offering risk advisory, including internal audit, services to various insurance and reinsurance clients.
Chris also has considerable experience in supporting clients with their governance, risk, and compliance initiatives. He emphasizes the importance of sharing proactive strategies and best practices while ensuring compliance. His previous roles have included secondments in positions such as Head of Internal Audit, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.
Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.
