Alex Cabrera is a guest speaker at ANC’s Market Edge

PwC Philippines Chairman Emeritus and ESG Leader Alex B. Cabrera was a guest on ABS-CBN News Channel’s (ANC) Market Edge on19 January 2023.

He discussed key findings from PwC’s 26th Annual Global CEO Survey with news anchor Michelle Ong. He emphasized that Asia-Pacific CEOs are ready to transform their businesses to respond to geopolitical risks, rising inflation and macroeconomic volatility. Many businesses are now taking significant steps to address customer needs, solve supply chain issues, enter new markets and develop new products.

He then talked about business opportunities in 2023 saying, “renewable energy is going to be strong. These investments in automation and technology will go hand in hand with the additional investments needed in telco to protect our connectivity.”

He also spoke on people matters, particularly on the alignment of employees’ behaviors with corporate values and directions — findings suggest that employees feel disconnected from the purpose of their work.
