…and we will give you the Edge…

We call it Edge, because it’s cutting-edge. It gives you the edge you need to become an international, well-rounded, well-networked Deals professional. There is no doubt that the programme will challenge you and stretch your capabilities, but it will also be a rewarding journey that will equip you for the next stage in your career.

International Events

Your journey into Edge will officially kick off and end with an international event. You will travel to a European destination where you will have the chance to meet all Edge participants across EMEA, receive in-depth training and participate in exciting activities and events. Watch the videos below to find out about the international event for Edge - we call it IDFE (International Deals Foundation Event).

Networking

At PwC we recognise the importance of building a professional network. This programme will give you countless opportunities to develop relationships across PwC teams and beyond your national boundaries, which will prove invaluable during your career at PwC.

During the programme you will do rotations across the PwC Deals business areas. By taking an active role in the work involved at each stage of a deal, you are going to develop into a well-rounded Deals advisor and will be able to identify the area your interests and strengths lie in.

Opportunities will be offered to top performers across EMEA to experience an international rotation at the end of the Programme into another participating Deals territory.

Throughout your journey you will be supported by world-class training and learn from Learning and Development professionals and Deals practitioners. You will also learn through relevant training courses to provide you the technical and business skills you need to thrive.

You will be completing a professional qualification that provides you with the recognised accreditation, knowledge and skills necessary to succeed within Deals and the global market.

…to become an international Deals expert

The Edge programme has been designed by PwC Deals EMEA to support the best and brightest graduates at the start of their careers by boosting their development from their first days at our Deals practice. It comprises a three-year journey that officially begins with an International Deals Foundation event. Following that, you'll commence in your allocated Deals business area at your local PwC firm, where you will rotate between different competence groups, doing a variety of project work with a variety of local and international clients and teams.

At PwC we're inspired to help you grow into an international Deals expert and have designed Edge to give you a 'helicopter' view of our Deals business. To help you through this learning process, you will be supported by relevant training courses, as well as by a team of professionals offering mentoring and "buddy" support. At the end of the Edge Programme, the Top Performers will also have the opportunity to take part in an international exchange programme and work in another country.

To ensure that you get the best technical training to complement what you learn on the job, we will support you in attaining a professional qualification.

PwC Advanced Certificate in Deals

Upon successful completion of the Edge programme and your professional qualification, you will be awarded the PwC Advanced Certificate in Deals and be given the opportunity to specialise in the area and industry that best suits you and helps you build a successful career within Deals at PwC.

Practical information

You will have the opportunity to experience at least three groups during the three-year programme based on specific career path related to your allocated Business area:

  • Lead Financial Advisor - M&A
  • Valuation
