PwC Advisory is working in various consulting capacities, with a new Life Reinsurance group that is backed by one of the world’s leading alternative asset managers. The group is innovative, ambitious and, having successfully closed its initial US life and annuity transaction, is actively working on a portfolio of US and international opportunities.
The company is looking to hire a Chief Risk Officer to lead the risk function, help to set business strategy and goals, with a focus on long – term, future oriented business plans. The CRO will work collaboratively across the company, to ensure that processes, policies and procedures to manage business, ALM, financial, regulatory and operational risks, are operating effectively.
The role is suited to an ambitious risk leader, with 10+ years’ experience working within the life and annuity (re) insurance market, with a strong understanding of asset-side risk (credit, market, ALM), regulatory capital and insurance product structures. Knowledge and experience of Bermuda’s
long-term insurance framework, the EBS regime and US Stat, would be ideal.
Suitably qualified individuals with actuarial, investments, accounting, or legal designations, will be actively considered.
