This course offers a practical introduction to personal data protection, covering the core principles, key terminology, and requirements of the Data Protection and Privacy Act. Participants will gain a clear understanding of compliance obligations, including registration with the regulatory authority, maintaining appropriate documentation, and implementing lawful data processing and consent management practices. The training also addresses how organisations should collect, store, and manage personal data responsibly while embedding privacy into their operations.
In addition, the programme focuses on safeguarding personal data through appropriate technical and organisational measures, responding to data subject rights, and meeting statutory obligations. Participants will explore incident response procedures, data breach management, and the steps required to mitigate risks effectively. The session includes case studies and practical exercises to help organisations strengthen their data protection frameworks and enhance accountability across their operations.
