PwC Academy in Ukraine was happy to be a meeting point for the internal audit professional community on 7/12/2021. The gathering was devoted to discussion of trends in internal audit in 2022. The workshop was conducted in a combined format (online+offline). More than 150 professionals from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Moldova participated in this event.
At the beginning Irina Blinova, the leader of PwC Academy in Ukraine, presented results of PwC study concerning changes in internal audit and stakeholders' expectations on IA function in 2022. Subsequent panel discussion highlighted main trends in IA and challenges of the function in 2022. The participants of the panel were Alexander Polosin, Director of corporate IA, DTEK, Oleg Shudra, Director of internal audit, Metinvest Holding, Oleg Troyan, Head of internal audit, Ukrzaliznytsia, Tetiana Gasynas, Head of internal audit department, Ukrposhta.
Kostyantyn Romansky, PwC Director, shared his views on current trends of the profession regarding business sustainability and internal audit's role in promoting of ESG topics within its organizations.
At the end of 2-hours workshop the PwC forensic team (Forensic leader Andriy Tretyak and Senior manager Bogdana Tyshchenko) gave a presentation on keys of successful cooperation between forensic experts and internal auditors within different types of forensic engagements.
