Environmental Commitment

Backyard Farming with Agricultural Development Organization (ADO) Bahamas

One of the year's standout moments was witnessing our initial investment in ADO Bahamas blossom into real, community-level change. Our backing has allowed ADO to broaden its backyard farming initiative, equipping individuals with kits to cultivate and harvest their own produce. By actively participating, our Green Team members experienced firsthand how this initiative is bolstering food sustainability, fostering self-reliance, and enhancing long-term community resilience—all while encouraging enthusiastic, collective involvement across our firm.

Beach Clean Ups

Our Green Team at PwC Bahamas took decisive action by joining beach clean-up efforts, tackling marine litter and championing ocean conservation. Through our collaboration with the Bahamas National Trust, we explored conservation firsthand during a guided tour of the Primeval Forest. This experience enriched our understanding of biodiversity and underscored the vital role of preserving national parks. These initiatives showcase how environmental stewardship is woven into our service culture—sparking learning, fostering participation, and driving real action towards a sustainable future for the Bahamas.

Educational Tours with Bahamas National Trust

In our continued commitment to the Bahamas National Trust, our team took part in educational tours at the Primeval Forest National Park. This hands-on experience offered us a direct view of how our ongoing investment supports the preservation and sustainability of The Bahamas' natural resources. As we wandered through the park's picturesque trails, we delved into the world of native plants and ecosystems, truly bringing environmental stewardship to life. A standout moment was the interactive bush tea session, where we discovered traditional bush teas and their health benefits—creating a rich mix of learning, culture, and practical engagement.
