Naftogaz team enhanced their financial management skills

In May and June 2018, PwC Academy delivered a series of training events for NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine covering:
- Finance for non-financial managers;
- Planning and budgeting. Corporate budget;
- IFRS reporting standards.
The training was designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of financial management, accounting and reporting, IFRS application, preparation and analysis of corporate budgets.
As part of the budgeting course, students covered:
- the budgeting management system and basics of effective budgeting;
- the structure of financial responsibility centres;
- regulations applicable to the budgeting process and decision-making policies;
- master budget preparation techniques using a comprehensive business case.
PwC Academy delivered trainings for NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine
In addition, students had a chance to enhance their knowledge of finance and preparation of accounting reports by:
- learning terms and key principles of accounting;
- analysing components of financial statements and learning to analyse financial ratios;
- mastering working capital management techniques.
During the IFRS course, the students learned about current standards and application of certain IFRSs, including theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
The course provided Naftogaz team with the tools needed for practical application of the knowledge gained in order to make better management decisions.
The students provided positive feedback to interactive practical questions and comprehensive business cases used during the course.
