Training for PJSC Ilyich Iron and Steel Works

PJSC Ilyich Iron and Steel Works continuously invests in professional development and skill improvement of its employees and is committed to implementing best practices in the organisation.
On 1-4 August 2017, PwC Academy delivered the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma seminar for employees of PJSC Ilyich Iron and Steel Works.
The training was focused on:
- Providing the insight into the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology, tools and approaches and exploring its impact on the overall business performance;
- Developing skills to identify improvement opportunities.
Upon completion of the training, the participants:
- Gained understanding of how to allocate resources efficiently and identify losses, and what steps to take to eliminate them.
- Considered the following principles: value creation, pull production, the 7 wastes, visual management, resource management, production planning, continuous improvement, enhanced internal and external customer experience and improvement of the operating efficiency.
The participants gained knowledge of the basic operation excellence principles, obtained skills in effective management of people, and learnt about processes and resources based on the global best practices in management and continuous improvement.
