Seminar “IFRS 9: practical application by banks”

On 23 May 2018, PwC Academy jointly with the National Centre for Training of Bank Personnel of Ukraine delivered the training seminar “IFRS 9: practical application  by banks”.

25 participants representing various banking institutions participated in this event.

The seminar covered the following topics:

• Classification and approaches to measurement of financial assets and financial liabilities under IFRS 9
• Subsequent measurement of financial instruments, reclassification and restructuring
• Expected credit loss modelling 

The seminar provided an opportunity to:

• Gain knowledge to take a step forward in implementation of IFRS 9
• Hold detailed discussions of how requirements of IFRS 9, Financial Instruments, are met and interpreted in terms of practical application   
• Address key practical issues arising in adopting IFRS 9 by FS organisations and banks
