Be grateful for people who take the time to give you ‘me time’
One Sunday evening, I saw Lola Lorna cleaning and styling a client's nails under a street lamp along España Boulevard in Manila.
Despite her weariness, she warmly greeted me and we had a heartwarming conversation.
When I told her that I would soon be sitting for the board exam, she said with a smile, "Mag-aral kang mabuti at tsaka, mag-misa ka, magdasal ka."
As I walked away, I understood why she was still so upbeat despite everything: she never lost her faith and trust in God.
