Not helping many is no excuse for not helping some

In the middle of the pandemic, Cagayan suffered from the onslaught of the powerful and deadly Typhoon Ulysses.

Volunteers, Rhodora Romero and Rodel Reyes, loaded a tricycle with foam mattresses and grocery packs headed for six families in Bagay, Tuguegarao City whose houses were still submerged in floodwater. They were temporarily taking refuge in their neighbor's home.

“Pasensya na anim na kutson lang ‘to.”

In my mind I retort, “pero anim na kutson, para sa anim pa rin yan.”
