No gift is more precious than caring for our elderly during their twilight years

Taking care of grandparents is important and special. It is a serious show of respect and affection. It is also giving back for all they did for their family and extended family during their prime. They can't have their old selves back, but we can make them feel that love never grows old.

I personally take care of my grandmother who is now unable to move on her own. One day, as I was putting a diaper on her, she said to me almost in a whisper:

“Salamat, Apo, at nandyan ka…”

I replied, “Kayo po kasi ang baby ko.”
