14 January: PwC Business Breakfast with Edward Lucas

On the 14th of January, PwC Lithuania invites business leaders to an exclusive Business Breakfast with Edward Lucas, one of Europe’s most authoritative voices on geopolitics and information warfare, to examine how Kremlin-originated narratives – sometimes unintentionally echoed in European media – distort perceptions of the Baltic states, with tangible consequences for investment confidence, capital allocation and long-term economic growth.

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and its wider hostile actions pose a real ongoing security threat to Europe, including the Baltic region. In recent years, international media coverage has increasingly portrayed Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia as fragile, exposed and inevitable flashpoints of conflict. These portrayals do not reflect the region’s actual resilience, NATO integration, and economic fundamentals.

While the security threat from Russia is real, misleading or exaggerated narratives create additional, unnecessary risks:

• Discouraging long-term investment and expansion 
• Undermining confidence among boards, partners and global stakeholders
