The Senate adopted laws regulating industrial policy

In brief 

On 20 December 2021 the Senate adopted the Law On Industrial Policy and the Law On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of Kazakhstan on Industrial Policy.

In detail 

These draft laws were adopted to ensure development of the manufacturing industry, increase of the production of competitive hightech and export-oriented products. The draft laws provide for measures of state stimulation of industrial sector by the government and conditions for their provision. The drat laws provide for the following: 

  • financing, including co-financing of industrial innovative projects, leasing financing; 
  • crediting through financial institutions; 
  • provision of land plots; 
  • development and promotion of exports of domestic goods and services of the manufacturing industry, assistance in their implementation; 
  • provision of industrial grants on a gratuitous basis by co-financing with conditions of counter obligations for the implementation of industrial and innovative projects.
