The PwC Kenya Business School is pleased to present a two-day Fraud Risk Assessment Training Workshop, designed to equip participants with a practical, structured, and risk-based approach to identifying, assessing, and managing fraud risks within their organisations.

As fraud schemes continue to evolve in complexity and sophistication, organisations require an integrated approach and well-designed frameworks to effectively and proactively identify vulnerabilities, strengthen controls, and enhance governance.

This workshop combines industry insights, practical case studies, and a hands-on application of the PwC Fraud Risk Management tool to help participants develop actionable fraud risk management strategies.

Key topics to be covered include:

  • The fraud landscape: Emerging fraud trends, schemes, and evolving risk exposures
  • Fraud drivers and risk factors: Examining the impact of culture, collusion, third parties, systems, and human behaviour
  • Governance and controls: Evaluating roles, responsibilities, policies, reporting structures, and oversight mechanisms
  • Delegation of authority and segregation of duties: Identifying vulnerabilities to fraud driven by the organisation’s role structure and design such as concentrated responsibilities, and privileged access
  • Fraud risk assessment and mitigation: A practical approach to developing fraud scenarios, prioritising risks, assessing controls, and designing mitigation actions,  leveraging the PwC Fraud Management tool.
  • Monitoring and reporting: Tracking remediation actions, assigning accountability, and strengthening management reporting for effective management of fraud risks

The workshop is relevant for professionals across all three lines of defense, including business operations, risk and compliance functions, and internal audit teams, as well as management responsible for governance, oversight, and fraud risk management.

Join us to gain practical skills and tools that will help your organisation strengthen its fraud resilience and enhance fraud risk governance amid an increasingly complex operating environment and evolving fraud risk landscape.
