PwC PH successfully holds tax seminar featuring CITIRA

PwC Philippines held a tax seminar entitled "Take 2 on Package 2: A seminar on CITIRA, and updates on TP, relevant BIR issuances and court decisions" for nearly 300 participants on 13 November 2019 at Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City.

The tax seminar covered:

  • Bill on Corporate Income Tax and Incentives Rationalization Act (CITIRA)
  • Transfer pricing (TP) audit guidelines
  • Updates on relevant issuances of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
  • Latest court decisions

Chairman and Senior Partner Atty. Alex Cabrera gave the welcome remarks, followed by Tax Managing Partner Atty. Malou Lim's overview speech entitled "Take 2 on Package 2". Asec. Antonio Lambino II, who is spokesperson and Head of Communications Strategy, Economics, and Results Group at the Department of Finance, presented "The government's outlook on CITIRA". The first segment was capped with an open forum featuring Asec. Lambino and Atty. Lim.

The second half began with Tax Partner Atty. Carlos Carado II's presentation "Facing transfer pricing audit head on", while updates on the latest court decisions and BIR issuances were dished out by Tax Principal Atty. Harold Ocampo. The next open forum with Atty. Carado and Atty. Ocampo followed.

Tax Partner Roselle Caraig led the invocation and national anthem, while Tax Partner Fedna Parallag summed up the seminar learnings with her closing remarks. Tax Partner Atty. Lawrence Biscocho was the master of ceremonies and open forum moderator.
