PwC PH, IIAP host forum for chief audit execs

PwC Philippines, in partnership with the Institute of Internal Auditors Philippines (IIAP), hosted "Elevating Internal Audit", a breakfast forum for chief audit executives on 4 October 2019 at the Tower Club, Philamlife Tower, Makati City.

Risk Assurance - Internal Audit Lead Partner Geraldine “Gett” Apostol discussed the results of PwC’s 2019 State of the Internal Audit Profession Study. She highlighted how Internal Audit leaders can be digitally fit in order to help stakeholders become smarter risk takers in the face of changing risk profiles brought about by digital transformation.

Human Capital Director Pam Gregorio presented the extreme issues the world is facing today. She piqued the CAEs’ interest with the six paradoxes of leadership that leaders need to exhibit in order to adapt to these new challenges.

IIAP representatives from the Board and Committee facilitated a discussion with the participants to understand and explore internal audit’s strategic planning process and considerations. CAEs of the more mature internal audit functions willingly shared their experiences and insights.

The program ended with some of the CAE participants expressing their appreciation to the organizers for providing a venue for knowledge sharing and networking.
