With over 25 years of experience in auditing, design of internal control system, due diligence review, business operations review, as well as SOX related engagements, Che’s extensive experience is one of the foundations of the firm’s audit practice. She has expanded her expertise in a wide variety of industries including oil and gas, mining, chemical/pharmaceutical products, services, and consumer & industrial products.

After being awarded Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree by St. Paul College of Manila and passing the CPA licensure board exam, Che started in 1987 her then Price Waterhouse career. Her leadership skills were further honed through the years by completing various short courses from Asian Institute of Management, INSEAD (Singapore), University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), and University of Asia & the Pacific, where Che has a Certification in Business Economics.

Che is highly experienced in audits of subsidiaries of large multinational corporations from North Americas, Canada and Europe. She has extensive knowledge and experience in documentation and testing of internal controls using COSO framework in relation to USA’s Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Che is the lead partner of the firm’s Consumer and Industrial Products Group with over 120 professionals. She concurrently serves as the firm’s Finance Partner.

Despite her busy schedule, Che finds time to occasionally write for BusinessWorld where she has written, among other topics, about mitigating corporate fraud, wind energy, state of industrial and consumer products industries, and even how a beauty queen’s story is relevant to the manufacturing industry.
