The list of individuals exempt from the obligation to obtain work permits has been updated

On 18 August 2025the Government approved the Resolution No.635 introducing amendments to the list of individuals who are exempt from the requirement to obtain work permits.

In details

In accordance with the changes foreign nationals holding the position of chief executive officer or deputy chief executive officer in a Kazakhstani legal entity, 100% participation interest (shares) of which are owned by foreign legal entity, are exempt from the requirement to obtain work permits. However, this exemption applies to no more than one employee per each position above.

The Resolution will come into effect on 31 August 2025.
