By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 27 April 2024 No.342 “On certain issues of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the Republican State Enterprise “Committee for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (the “Committee”) was established.

In details

The functions of the Committee included:

1. Ensuring the implementation of state policy in the field of artificial intelligence;
2. Development and implementation of legal regulations in the field of development of artificial intelligence technologies; 
3. Implementation of intersectoral coordination in the field of artificial intelligence; 
4. Approval of the composition and regulations on the activities of the expert council in the field of artificial intelligence; 
5. Coordination of documents of the State Planning System in the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the development of artificial intelligence.
