Foreigners can obtain an Individual Identification Number (IIN) at the Kazakhstan embassies abroad

Briefly

Starting from April 13, foreigners will be able to obtain an Individual Identification Number (IIN) at 96 embassies and consulates of RK abroad.

To obtain IIN, foreign citizen must personally submit the following documents to Kazakhstan embassy or consulate abroad:

Application in the specified form
Copy of valid identification document and its original for verification (valid foreign passport, unless otherwise specified by international treaties of Kazakhstan)

If the passport does not contain surname, first name, patronymic name, and place of birth in Cyrillic or Latin, a notarized translation of the document will be required..

The provision of this government service takes one working day..

The pilot project will function until December 31, 2024.
