The Rules on formation of marginal prices and markups for medicines are amended

Special edition №191

Briefly

The Minister of Healthcare adopted the Order dated 3 July 2023 No.124, amending the Rules on regulation, formation of marginal prices and markups for medicines, and medical devices within the framework of the guaranteed volume of free medical care (“GVFMC”) and (or) the obligatory social medical insurance (“OSMI”).

In details

The amendments to the Rules envisage the following:

  • The over-the-counter medicines for wholesale and retail realisation are excluded from the pricing regulation.
  • The medicines, for which the registration certificates are obtained within the EAEU, could be included into the draft list of medicines, subject to pricing regulation for wholesale and retail realisation.
  • The changes are introduced to the list of documents for local and foreign manufacturers of medicines, which should be filed together with the application for registration of marginal prices (1) within GVFMC and OSMI; and (2) for wholesale and retail realisation.

The amendments to the Rules came into force on 16 July 2023.
